Betty White talked about live television on "The Tonight Show." She and the women of "Hot in Cleveland" are kicking off their summer season with the show's first-ever live episodes. But it's not White's first experience in live television. She said she actually loves doing it.
She did share her worst live television experience. It happened on the very show she was on, back when Johnny Carson was the host of "The Tonight Show." Betty White was singing a song.
"All of a sudden I realized, I got to the bridge and I lost the lyrics," White said. "And I can still feel that panic, right in here. And you just want to die. You think, let’s see ... if I run away and get a ticket, I can leave the country.”
Luckily, she didn't and continued to enjoy one of the most storied careers in television. And, as she and Jay Leno announced on the show, she now holds the Guinness World Record for the longest career in TV at 65 years ... and counting!
White celebrated another milestone recently, turning 91 years old. She told People that she feels sexier at 91 than she did at 90. She pours all of her sexy charm into new episodes of "Hot in Cleveland," kicking off Wednesday night at 10 p.m. ET on TV Land.
