WATCH: What It's Like Living With Bipolar Disorder

Meet 18 year-old Tiny, a student at John McDonogh High School in New Orleans. She's a little girl with big personality who struggles with the loss of her father in addition to her bipolar disorder.

In this clip from an upcoming episode of "Blackboard Wars," John McDonogh High School's new principal, education specialist Dr. Marvin Thompson, reflects on what it's like dealing with Tiny.

"Tiny is on meds, and at times, when she's on [them], she's the sweetest thing you ever want to meet," he says. "And if she's not, you have to be very delicate about how you approach her."

Says Tiny, "The days when I have my bad days... it's going to stick with me that whole day."

Watch "Blackboard Wars" on OWN, Saturdays at 9 p.m. ET.
