Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have been plagued by rumors of cheating and imminent divorce for months, despite the fact that both parties say their marriage is strong.
In a new interview with People magazine, Shelton explained that the couple is all about keeping the lines of communications open and being honest with one another.
"[I tell Miranda], 'I have nothing to hide from you,' " he said, adding that he's even given his wife-of-two years access to his phone. "That's always been our policy: 'Here's my phone. Go through it.'"
"The Voice" star said the two have no secrets and that he has no problem with Lambert digging through his drawers or even his computer if she feels she needs to.
"And that's been a really good thing, because I don't want her to ever have any doubts," he explained.
But it's Shelton who may have doubts, or at least had them in the past, according to Life & Style. The tabloid claims that Shelton and Lambert postponed sending out their wedding invitations back in 2011, because Lambert "wouldn't keep her hands off" Eric Church, the singer who opened for her on her Revolution Tour.
Life & Style's source even claimed that Church, who was married throughout that tour, “had to kick Miranda off his bus a couple of times” because "she was getting too close for comfort."
Even if the couple have dealt with issues in the past, they maintain that their marriage is as strong as ever, and even have a sense of humor about everything. In March, the couple took to Twitter to outright make fun of all the rumors claiming they were headed for divorce, and Shelton even told "CBS This Morning" that he loves reading all the rumors about them in the tabloids.
"I honestly do love it. I just know, to have that kind of coverage, if I'm popular enough they want to put me and Miranda on that stuff -- that's awesome. I have an album coming out! Put my album right next to it and pick it up," he said.
