Bon Iver, 'Beth/Rest': The Solo Piano Version (AUDIO)

Bon Iver's Solo Piano Version Of 'Best/Rest'

If you prefer your love songs tender, spare, and sans-saxophone, Bon Iver has a track for you.

"Beth/Rest," the synth-heavy final track on Bon Iver's self-titled sophomore record, plays a little like a tribute to the great 80s ballads Lionel Richie made popular back in the day. Now, in a stripped down, solo piano form, it sounds a little more like the plaintive love melodies off the rest of the album.

Bon Iver's Justin Vernon performed the song at NPR's World Cafe, along with "Holocene" and "Beach Baby." Listen to the other tracks here, and listen to the piano-only "Beth/Rest" below.
