Brion Carnes Nebraska Bound: Prospect SWITCHES Commitment From Western Kentucky

Brion Carnes is headed for Nebraska, opting to switch his commitment from Western Kentucky to Nebraska on National Signing Day 2010.

Carnes, a highly-touted quarterback out of Manatee High School in Florida, had been committed to Western Kentucky since the weekend.

Carnes' reason for the change? "Just the atmosphere," he told the Journal Star.

The 18-year-old Carnes had been the victim of an all-out "frenzy," as National Signing Day approached, according to a local Florida newspaper.

He is a four-star prospect and described as a "dual-threat quarterback."

It's not the only surprise of the day, as J.C. Copeland also made a surprising last-minute switch.
