Bruce Springsteen's Long Branch, New Jersey Home Where 'Born To Run' Album Was Written Is For Sale (PHOTO)

This was his "mansion of glory."

Tonight we ride through the mansions of glory -- well, at least the home that helped inspire it.

The Long Branch, New Jersey home where Bruce Springsteen’s “Born To Run” album was written is for sale and can be all yours for just $349,900. Listed by Susan McLaughlin, the 828-square-foot home has two bedrooms, two baths and of course a lot of history. “The layout is the same inside as it was when Bruce lived there,” McLaughlin told NJ.com.

“The Boss” stayed in the home from 1974-75, and while we can appreciate the timeless tracks that were produced there (“Jungleland" anyone?), we just can’t seem to wrap our heads around the asking price.

A local tells us that, while Long Branch is a very diverse neighborhood with properties ranging from $90,000 to $700,000 (crazy, right?) and this particular home is just minutes away from the beach, the town was incredibly affected by Hurricane Sandy. Many properties flooded or were damaged by falling trees.

One commenter Blognonymou, also pointed out that the home was on sale back in 2009 for just $299,000, and they agree it doesn’t seem like a bargain. "I don't think there's going to be much of a bidding war this time around either, especially since Hurricane Sandy has made house hunters paranoid, especially about homes near the shore, regardless of claims of 'higher elevation' and no damage/risk,” they wrote.

Of course if you’re a total Springsteen fan, don’t let our two-cents deter you from snapping up this property. Head over to Susan McLaughlin’s site for more information.
