'Burn Notice' Fall Premiere: Michael Confronts Tom Card Over His Brother's Death (VIDEO)

'Burn Notice': Michael And Tom Card Face Off

"Burn Notice" came back with a two-hour, mid-season-premiere shocker, saving the most unexpected twist for the final five minutes. Michael found himself face-to-face with his former mentor -- and the man who killed his brother -- Tom Card. It was a confrontation that seemed like the season was building toward, but fans got it a lot sooner than they expected.

If they weren't expecting that, then they were absolutely blown away by what happened next. Tom started sweet-talking Michael, saying that they could be friends still and do great things together, but Michael wasn't hearing any of it. His response, instead, was a bullet straight through Tom Card's head.

TV Fanatic was left wondering, "Now what?" This was set up to be a season-long arc, though there's still plenty of material to cover. TV Equals points out that there's always the question of what happens to Michael now that he's killed Card.

The sixth season of "Burn Notice" continues on Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET on USA. The series was also just renewed for a 13-episode Season 7.
