'Cajun Pawn Stars': Bill Clinton Letter Speaking Out Against Vietnam War Draft (VIDEO)

Cajun Pawn Stars: Bill Clinton Letter Against Vietnam War Draft

An interesting piece of political history walked into the shop on "Cajun Pawn Stars" (Wed., 9 p.m. ET on History). The seller had a letter he claimed was written by a college-aged Bill Clinton. The letter spoke out against the draft implemented during the Vietnam War.

Clinton took some heat during the 1992 election regarding the Vietnam War. Some claimed that he was a draft dodger.

But even after an expert came in and verified Clinton's signature, and also gave some background on where Clinton's anti-war sentiments might have came from, it proved a hard sell. The seller was seeking nearly $3,000 and the shop just couldn't come anywhere near it.

In the end, the letter stayed with the seller who brought it in, but the staff at the pawn shop can at least have the memory of having seen and read the early Clinton document.

Catch "Cajun Pawn Stars" every Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET on History.
