Cal, Stanford Scuffle: Six Technical Fouls Called, 2 Players And 3 Assistant Coaches Ejected (VIDEO)

Six Technicals, 5 Ejections

A scuffle late in the Cal-Stanford game on Wednesday night led to six technical fouls, along with two players and three assistant coaches getting ejected.

With just over five minutes to play, Cal's Allen Crabbe lost control of the ball and Stanford's Andy Brown dove on it. Crabbe then appeared to go for the ball, wrapping his arms around Brown on the ground. Brown appeared to get upset as he got back to his feet, while the ref blew the whistle and ran over to separate them. But so did Stanford's Dwight Powell, who ended up shoving Crabbe to the ground.

That caused more pushing and shoving from other players on the court while coaches from both teams and officials quickly ran over to break it up.

After a lengthy review, Powell along with Stanford teammates Aaron Bright and Chasson Randle were handed technical fouls. Crabbe and teammates Justin Cobbs and Tyrone Wallace were also given technical fouls. According to USA Today Sports, Stanford's Gabriel Harris and Cal's Richard Solomon were ejected for leaving the bench, while Stanford assistant coaches Mark Madsen and Charles Payne and Cal assistant coach Gregg Gottlieb were also ejected.

On Tuesday, a fight broke out towards the end of the Notre Dame-St. John's game that resulted in two ejections.
