The international community watched the American 2008 presidential campaign with a keen interest in the candidates and the outcome. When election day came, the world again watched -- and cheered -- as Barack Obama won by a landslide. Now, as Obama makes history by becoming the first African American president of the United States, the world will again be watching, cheering, laughing and perhaps even crying.

Help HuffPost World tell the story of how the global community responds to and participates in Obama's inauguration. Are you going shopping for a special outfit for an inaugural party? Are you traveling to watch the speech with loved ones? Show us what you doing this weekend to prepare for Tuesday.

On inauguration day, show us how your community engages with the historic moment. Send us your photographs from wherever you are watching Obama's speech or celebrating his candidacy--whether it's your living room or local pub. Share with us what Obama's inauguration means to you and your community.

Send your photos as attachments to worldsubmissions@huffingtonpost.com. Put in the subject line "inauguration photos." Format them to 550 x 400 pixels, 150 resolution, and provide captions and bylines. We will select the best photos and display them on the Huffington Post.

Captions should include as much information about the image as possible. Please include where the photograph was taken, when it was taken and who (or what) is in the photo. Include your full name and where you live so we may credit your work accurately.
