Carly Rose Sonenclar, Beatrice Miller, Arin Ray: 'X Factor' Teens Dominate Last Week's Live Shows

Meet The 'X Factor' Teen Team! (VIDEO)

It should be no surprise to 'X Factor' fans that here at HuffPost Teen, we were rooting for the under 21 team (under the mentorship of Britney Spears) on last week's first live shows. Here's a short breakdown of who these aspiring teen superstars are and how they did. Follow along with us via Twitter on Wednesday at 8pm EST to see who makes the cut!

Arin Ray is 16 years old and from Cincinnatio, Ohio. He is a former contestant from last year who was eliminated early, but he's stepped it up this year in a big way. Last week, Arin sang an energized rendition of Diana Ross's "You Keep Me Hangin' On." Demi's reaction? "I couldn't really hear your vocals because the girls were screaming so loud!"

Carly Rose Sonenclar is 13 years old and from Mamaroneck, New York. Carly is the heavy favorite this season, but her most recent performance, which had her in a "Baby One More Time"-style school uniform, didn't go over as well with the judges. LA Reid -- though he admitted he loved her voice -- said: "It didn't feel like you were having fun."

Beatrice Miller is 13 years old and from Maplewood, New Jersey. While she was nervous about singing Jason Mraz's "I Won't Give Up" because it didn't seem like a natural fit for her "rockstar" look, the judges unanimously gave her a thumbs up. Simon Cowell said: "I think there's a gap in the market for someone like you."
