Singer, songwriter and multi-talented musician Casey Abrams performs his original tune "Stuck in London" and answers fan questions about his mesmerizing beard, his relationship with Haley Reinhart, the evolution of his music for his latest self-titled album and upcoming tours.

While he's been studying classical bass and playing in jazz ensembles since high school, Casey Abrams gained himself a wealth recognition by reaching the final stages of American Idol season 10. Along with charming the nation with his music and humor, Casey also struck up a notable friendship with fellow contestant Haley Reinhart (who has also appeared on What's Trending!), which spurred off some brilliant collaborations, including their own cover of Christmas classic, "Baby It's Cold Outside."

Once the season ended, Abrams signed with Concord Music Group and released his self-titled debut album, produced in part by Idol judge Randy Jackson.

Off the bat, Casey defends the notably overlooked role of the band bassist. "They're the chillest members of the band!" he says. In order to be a genuine bass player, Casey advises, "You actually just have to chill out. You can't just steal the spotlight all the time, which is very contradictory for what I'm trying to do."

He also says that people will be surprised at how he's evolved since "Idol." While it's easy to say that Casey has transitioned from jazz to pop since his time on live TV, the musician now identifies his sound as "organic, soul-y pop."

As for the near future, don't be surprised if Casey shows up on your porch to serenade you with some soulful bass. Our full-bearded guest reveals that he hopes to start touring again in the next year, with plans to do some porch sessions throughout the country.

Also, we're totally waiting with bated breath for that Casey/Flula collab.
