Cat Trapper Beaten, Robbed Of Pants By Thugs In Miami Gardens

Thugs Attack Cat Trapper, Steal His Pants

Cat got your pants?

Florida cops are looking for two thugs who attacked and robbed a cat trapper on Thursday and stole his pants in a parking lot, NBC Miami reported.

Officers found the unidentified victim at 5:30 a.m. in the parking lot of an Auto Zone, bloodied and nearly naked. The man usually went to the parking lot early in the morning to find stray cats to feed and neuter them in an effort to control the feral population in the area, said Bill Bamford, Miami Gardens police spokesman.

As he was setting up his traps, two men approached and demanded that he get in his car, Bamford told the station. When he refused, one of the perps pistol-whipped him in the face several times, leaving him with bloody cuts.

Then the two ordered him to the ground, took off his pants and shook his wallet, watch and jewelry from the pockets. They made off with everything -- including the victim's pants and car.

"Here's a gentleman just trying to do the right thing -- help control the pet population here in the South Florida area -- and he pays with a severe beating and the embarrassment of someone taking his clothes and fleeing the scene," Bamford said.

Thieves seem to have taken a liking to undergarments this year.

In February, a Baltimore man stole a woman's underwear out of her house and then texted pictures of them to her, in an apparent attempt to taunt her.

And earlier this month, two Miami women were arrested after they allegedly stole thousands of dollars worth of bras from Victoria's Secret stores in Boca Raton and Boynton Beach. Cops labeled the two -- who had been on an alleged thieving spree for several months -- the "Bra Bandits."
