'Catfish: The TV Show' Finale: Woman Started Lying Online Because Family Called Her Fat, Ugly (VIDEO)

'Catfish' Wraps Its Season With A Happy Ending

The season finale of "Catfish: The TV Show" provided one last look at online deception. Mike took center-stage for the finale, and the episode ended on a happier note than most earlier installments. After a relationship of five years, Mike got dumped by his girlfriend. He turned to the Internet, where he started chatting with Felicia.

After a few months, he felt like he was really falling for her, but he'd still never seen her. No pictures, no video chats. So the show brought him down to Florida to meet her in person.

When they met, Felicia admitted that she'd lied about owning a store, and had a history of lying to people online.

"Everybody’s always told me I was ugly. I’ve even heard it from family members that I was ugly and I was fat," she said. "I found that outlet through online dating because I could pretend to be somebody I wasn’t."

There was no more pretending with Mike, though, and that turned out to be just fine. The two worked through everything and are now a couple. Love triumphed in the end.

Also triumphant is "Catfish: The TV Show." After strong ratings in its opening season, the series is now casting for Season 2.
