This week has been a rough one for NBA player Lamar Odom, reality star Khloe Kardashian's husband. Last weekend, rumors swirled that the trouble in the pair's marriage was caused by Odom's persistent drug abuse.
Then it was reported that the athlete has disappeared, is nowhere to be found and is a great cause for concern for the entire Kardashian-Jenner clan. Days later Odom resurfaced, looking gaunt, only to further spark public concern for him. Then, early Friday morning, Odom was reportedly arrested in California on suspicion of a DUI. He was released hours later, after posting bond.
In unrelated news, Khloe's younger sister Kylie crashed her pricey Mercedes mere days after getting her licence. We wish that whole family well.
Another big star to dominate headlines this week was twerking fanatic Miley Cyrus, whose performance at MTV's VMAs was the talk of the town for days. In case you missed it, Miley mixed a killer combo of little-to-no clothes, grinding on a man nearly twice her age (not to mention he's a married father), sticking her tongue out and offending teddy bear organizations and the inventor of the foam finger alike. But Miley seems unfazed by the whole thing and with the support of her famous dad Billy Ray, she just won't stop.
Second-time dad Alec Baldwin, whose wife Hilaria gave birth to their daughter Carmen a week ago, lost his temper on yet another paparazzo this week. Baldwin was photographed in New York's Greenwich Village, pinning the shutterbug against a parked car. Police were called but no charges were made.
A week after rumors of Demi Lovato's nude photos made waves, the alleged pics surfaced, or so claims the Internet. In the "teaser" photos, Lovato is supposedly seen with a guy and a girl, and she's purportedly identified by her tattoos even when her face is not showing.
In couple news, two longtime celebrity pairs announced their split this week: Catherine Zeta-Jones and Michael Douglas, and Clint Eastwood and his wife Dina.
Zeta-Jones and Douglas are reportedly "taking a break" without seeking legal action (divorce etc.) after 13 years of marriage, whereas Dina Eastwood had reportedly confirmed to Us Weekly that she and her husband of 17 years, Clint, are no longer together.
In baby news, Jessica Simpson unveiled her adorable infant Ace to the world; Fergie gave birth to her first son, Axl; "Sopranos" star Jamie-Lynn Sigler welcomed a baby boy; James Van Der Beek and his wife announced that they're expecting a third child; and Kevin Jonas and his wife, Danielle, revealed they're expecting a girl.
