Good news for Frank Ocean -- his latest album, "Channel Orange," has gone gold.
Released in July, "Channel Orange" has now sold 500,000 copies, giving it the gold distinction.
The album brought Ocean into the mainstream, earning him six Grammy nominations. Ocean is up for Best New Artist, Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Best Urban Contemporary Album, Best Rap Sung Collaboration, and Best Short Form Music Video.
The six nominations ties Ocean for the most nominations this year with Mumford & Sons, Kanye West, Dan Auerbach of the Black Keys, Jay-Z and fun.
