'Cheers' Reunion On 'Kirstie': George Wendt Joins Kirstie Alley Show

The Reunion Just Keeps Getting Bigger

Welcome back, Norm!

Earlier this week, it was reported that "Cheers" vet Kirstie Alley would be staging a "Seinfeld" reunion on her new show "Kirstie," reuniting Jason Alexander with Michael Richards.

But even better, The Hollywood Reporter has announced that George Wendt, otherwise known as Norm from "Cheers," will be joining Rhea Perlman and Alley for a full-blown "Cheers" reunion.

"It is a strange and wonderful thing to be working on a brand new show yet surrounded by familiar faces and friends. I'm looking forward to a fun and fabulous time," Alexander said in a statement of sharing the small screen with his old "Seinfeld" pal again. Let's just hope Wendt feels the same way!

"Kirstie" centers on Broadway star Madison Banks (Kirstie Alley), whose life turns upside down when Arlo (Eric Petersen), the son she gave up at birth, returns to her life when his adoptive parents have died.

A premiere date for "Kirstie" has not yet been announced.
