Chicago Unseasonably Warm This March, Approaching Record-Setting Highs

Tuesday's warm weather is certainly something to celebrate in and of itself; but before the week's end, the city could break a high-temperature record.

With a high of 67 degrees recorded at O'Hare Airport early Tuesday, this spring is already approaching the previous March 6 record high of 70 degrees that was set in 2000, according to the Chicago Tribune. A National Weather Service meteorologist told the paper she couldn't predict whether that record would be reached or broken Tuesday, but that highs in the upper 60s were expected.

The breezy summery weather will continue Wednesday, with highs predicted between 60 and 66 degrees, according to NBC Chicago. Showers expected Wednesday night will break the heat, and the rest of the week will peter out in the mid-40s.
