Five days after his father was officially fired as head football coach at Colorado, senior quarterback Cody Hawkins produced one of the best games of his career in leading the Buffs to a win over Iowa State.
The Big 12 Conference honored Hawkins today by naming him offensive Player of the Week after completing 16 of 24 passes for 266 yards and three touchdowns. He did not throw an interception. He posted a career-best one-game passer rating of 201.02.
