Some state parks may be closed while others could be opened up to limited oil and gas extraction over the next few years as part of a plan to financially shore up Colorado's parks system.
Mineral leasing may be the most controversial option being considered, but state parks spokeswoman Deb Frazier points out it is just one option being weighed.
