'Coming Home': Soldier Surprises His Kids At USO Benefit

The show "Coming Home" (Wed., 11 p.m. ET on Lifetime) just loves to set children up to be surprised by the presence of their military parent, and it works every single time. It creates an instant moment of raw emotion that tugs at everyone's heart strings.

On the latest installment, Staff Sergeant Bryan Boykin was backstage at a USO event where he got to hear his two oldest children read essays about how proud they are to be military kids, and how proud of their dad they are. He'd been away from his family for five months at this point. Then, Boykin walked up behind them and was immediately assaulted with their love and tears.

"When I got up there, I could see both my children sobbing," Boykin's wife said. "But it wasn’t because they were sad. It was because they were happy, and I’ve never seen my kids that happy."

More reunions and more waterworks every Wednesday night on "Coming Home," 11 p.m. ET on Lifetime.
