How much wine is the right amount of wine? To most, that depends on the day, time of day and what happened at work.
But according to a recent video from Bustle, most restaurants typically pour 5 ounces of wine for customers; the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism also agrees that 5 ounces of wine is the standard. But participants in the video above were asked to pour the amount of wine they usually dole out for themselves, and the results are very human, to say the least.
Here are a few other wine factoids you should know:
- According to a Texas A&M study, the resveratrol found in red wine may help prevent age-related memory loss.
- Red wine and full-bodied white wine usually lasts for three to five days once you open it, while sparkling wine only lasts for one to three days.
- To chill wine without watering it down, simply freeze a few grapes and add 'em to your glass when needed.
Drink up (responsibly), friends!
