Cubs Fan's Loyalty Bought By Red Sox?

The despondent Cubs fan whose attempt to sell his baseball loyalty on eBay was thwarted by the auction site, may have a suitor in the Boston Red Sox, the Tribune reports:

The Beantown team -- dogged by the so-called Curse of the Bambino for 85 years before winning the World Series in 2004 and 2007 and now battling the Tampa Bay Rays for another World Series berth -- is offering a one-year membership in its official fan club, an autographed ball, a VIP tour of Fenway Park and tickets to a game next season.

[Scot] Moore, 30, said he is considering the offer but has made no decision. He initially auctioned his loyalties in an effort to both lessen the sting of the Cubs' embarrassing playoff exit and raise money for two small theater troupes in Minneapolis, where he now lives.

Bidding on Moore's eBay auction had reached $7,100 before it was stopped. Moore pledged to donate all of the proceeds to two non-profit theatre companies in Minneapolis.
