Dana Perino, Former George W. Bush White House Press Secretary, To Teach At George Washington University

Former White House Press Secretary Dana Perino -- a veteran of the George W. Bush White House Press Secretary and a current Fox News contributor, is heading to George Washington University this fall to teach a class at their Graduate School of Political Management.

Perino is set to conduct a master's course in political communications on advocacy, politics and public affairs.

"Part of the reason I wanted to do this is my belief in the need for all of us to be healthy news consumers -- I read and watch everything I possibly can -- even things I don't agree with - so that I can have a richer experience in the career I've chosen," Perino told the GW Hatchet in an e-mail.

Perino has been an outspoken critic of the Obama Administration as a Fox News contributor, where she has attacked the president's positions on national security and the ongoing Gulf oil spill.

She is also a "chief issues counselor" at the global PR firm Burson-Marsteller and was recently confirmed to a position on the Broadcasting Board of Governors.
