Rob Reid is happy to be a consumer of music, not an owner. As the founder of the Rhapsody music his perspective on the ongoing relationship between technology, music, artists and consumers is a particularly insightful one.

Music discovery has changed quite a bit over the last couple of decades. Most of today's generation will never know the experience of going to a record store and purchasing a soon to be cherished album; instead they can see what their social network is listening to in real time. While we wait for someone to recreate that record store magic, Rob thinks its pretty cool we can access the entire breadth of human musical creation online today.

I agree. Though I am embarrassed if my mates see I'm rocking out to ABBA.
