'Deadliest Catch': Covered In Ice, The Time Bandit Starts Listing Heavily (VIDEO)

'Deadliest Catch': Danger For The Time Bandit

There were some tense times for the crew of the Time Bandit on "Deadliest Catch" (Tue., 9 p.m. ET on Discovery) Tuesday night.

It was coming to the end of the Opilio crab fishing season and harsh weather was closing in. Deckhand Scott Hillstrand, who runs the boat’s hydraulics, said, "can’t even breathe, the wind is blowing so hard."

Less than a mile from the dock, Time Bandit had built up a layer of ice weighing 40,000 lbs and she began listing heavily towards the port side. There was a very real danger she could capsize.

Unable to see anything, Captain Andy Hillstrand urged the crew to start clearing ice as fast as they could. His brother Neal warned, "We're about to crash into the dock, dude!"

As viewers at home watched nervously, the crew ferociously battled the elements, and Captain Andy managed to steer the ship safely into the dock without capsizing her.

The drama continues on "Deadliest Catch," Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET on Discovery.
