Dear Boobs,
To the true providers in the house, I say thank you.
Thank you for all you do.
Thank you for still being attached to me when three babies nearly bit you right off my body.
Thank you for still being north of my belly button and keeping a generally spherical shape.
Thank you for giving the baby sustenance when I was sleeping, tired, feeling lazy, forgot to pack a snack, etc.
My husband also says thank you. (You know why.)
I'm sorry.
Sorry for those nights when you felt like life was just sucking it all out of you, taking everything you've got. I'm sorry for all the years that I (mistakenly) thought you weren't enough. I'm sorry for the torture I put you through, stuffing you into Victoria Secret padded bras and hoping you came together to give me the perfect cleavage for prom. It wasn't you, it was me.
Had I known that you were (both of you, just to be fair) an amazing source of love and comfort and peacemakers all in one (or two, as the case may be), I would have never worried and would have sung your praises from day one.
Thank you God, for making our bodies so perfectly complete. Whatever size or shape your ladies may come in, they are amazing!
Just thought you should know that you have a growing fan club and that retirement is on the horizon.
Sincerely,
Mommy-in-Chief
