Debby Boone: 'I Am A One-Hit Wonder' (VIDEO)

'The Truth Is, I Am A One-Hit Wonder'

As the daughter of singer Pat Boone, Debby Boone grew up in a musical family. So, it wasn't surprising when she released a hit song of her own: "You Light Up My Life." What may have been more unexpected, however, was that Debby didn't seem to have the multiple chart-topping hits her father had.

On a recent episode of "Oprah: Where Are They Now?" Debby gave a very blunt assessment of her music career.

"Basically, the truth is, I am a one-hit wonder," she says. "I had one big hit record... I've had a career, but, basically, I'm known for one recording."

Debby says she was also known for having a good-girl reputation. "I was All-American, squeaky-clean. Me and Marie Osmond, we had the same image," she says with a laugh.

In the video above, Debby reveals how she tried to change that image and be more rebellious. Plus, she and her husband of 34 years, Gabriel Ferrer, reveal their amusing secret to a happy marriage.

"Oprah: Where Are They Now?" airs on Fridays at 9 p.m. ET on OWN, beginning Jan. 3.
