Derrick Mason: Roger Goodell Is 'A Joke'

NFL Receiver Slams Roger Goodell

Another NFL player has taken a shot at commissioner Roger Goodell.

Talking to Steve Davis and Ed Norris on 105.7 The Fan in Baltimore, Ravens receiver Derrick Mason went on a long rant about Goodell's "crusade" about testing for human growth hormones and ripped him for not focusing on the labor battle.

Mason said that Goodell needs to "stop crying about blood tests and HGH" and just work on getting a deal done.

"That's what he needs to do. He's been on this crusade about HGH, but he needs to be on a crusade about getting these owners together and trying to work out a deal," he said. "He's to me is just...he's a joke. He's a joke because every time I look, he's talking about performance enhancements instead of talking about trying to figure out a way to make sure football is played in August."

Mason was referring to Goodell's appearance at a high school assembly, in which he spoke about the dangers of performance-enhancing substances.

When asked if he would say that to Goodell in person, Mason said "Yeah I mean he's nothing to me."
