Diesel Ads 2012 Take Potted Plants, Dollhouses As Their Unwitting Fashion Victims (PHOTOS)

PHOTOS: Um, What Exactly Is Happening Here?

It's not every day you see a model canoodling with a robot instead of, say, Leo DiCaprio.

But that day has come with these new ads for Diesel's "Portraits for Successful Living" Campaign, shot by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, which show leggy models torching dollhouses and brazenly trampling potted plants.

In one of our favorites, model all-star Ashley Smith poses draped upon a giant robot. So you know, just your average fashion shoot.

Alison Nix, Liu Wen, Maria Palm, Patrick Kafka, Dimitri Tanner and Simon Nessman also star in the ads, meant to promote Diesel's new spring line and not, as we first suspected, some really bad gardening techniques.

While these ads surely won't be as controversial as Diesel's "Be Stupid" campaign, which got the ban hammer from the ASA in 2010, we still prefer to not see any innocent dollhouses harmed in the name of fashion.
