Disabled Dog Welcomes Airman Owner Home, Can Barely Contain Her Excitement In Homecoming Clip (VIDEO)

WATCH: Special Needs Pooch Is SO HAPPY That Her Airman Owner Is Home

She can barely walk, but that didn't stop this disabled pooch from welcoming her airman owner with unbridled enthusiasm when he returned home after a six-month-long deployment.

According to Melissa Swanson, who uploaded this heartwarming homecoming clip on YouTube, she and her husband had welcomed Emma, the special needs pup, into their lives before he was deployed.

"Emma and her daddy were very close! It broke her heart when he left," she wrote in a caption that accompanied this clip. "When I come in the door, she normally sits at the end of the hallway and waits for me to pick her up. This time, when her daddy came in, she went to him!" (Watch the video above to see the incredible reunion.)

Emma, who, according to her Facebook page, is a 1-year-old American bulldog/pit bull mix, suffers from a severe birth defect called hemivertebrae. She is also said to suffer from a "neurological disorder similar to cerebral palsy."

Swanson explains that her family first fostered the pooch through Special Needs Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation (SNARR), before deciding to keep her in their lives for good.

"Within days of her coming to me, we decided that we would not be letting her leave," Swanson says on Emma's Facebook page. "She is part of our family and has made us much closer."

Swanson adds that inspirational Emma, whom she describes as having a spirit "unmatched by any dog," is still financially under the care of the rescue SNARR who ensure that the special needs dog is well-cared for. Though the clip of Emma's reunion with her beloved owner was first uploaded in March, the heart-squeezing video has been making its rounds on the Interwebs again this week.

"Dawwwww! That just made my heart so happy!" wrote one YouTube user on Wednesday.

"This makes me cry," wrote another.

Thank you, Emma, for making our day.
