Donald Trump: Insulting Heidi Cruz Is New Proof That He's Unfit To Be President

This is behavior that is so high school-immature and so woman-hating, that it has to disqualify Donald from leading the Republican party. Since when has it been acceptable for a presidential candidate to threaten and insult the wife of another candidate?

American women, rise up! You need to rally against misogynist Donald Trump becoming the GOP candidate for president. When he insulted Ted Cruz's wife Heidi, supposedly for not being as beautiful as his wife, Melania, that was the final, FINAL straw!

Donald Trump shockingly crossed one more moral line by insulting Heidi Cruz, Ted's wife, twice in recent days. Wait, let me correct that -- first, Trump threatened Heidi, tweeting that he'd "spill the beans" on her, suggesting that he had some scandalous info about her. He went to war against Heidi in retaliation for an ad on Facebook showing Melania Trump posing nude in GQ magazine. It was produced by an anti-Trump Super PAC -- but it was not the doing of Ted Cruz.

Then yesterday, March 23, Donald retweeted a mean meme featuring an unflattering photo of Heidi Cruz paired up with a beautiful photo of Melania, and inscribed with the words: "No Need To 'Spill The Beans'...The Images Are Worth A Thousand Words"!

Nasty, nasty, nasty behavior. Behavior that is so high school-immature and so woman-hating, that it has to disqualify Donald from leading the Republican party. Since when has it been acceptable for a presidential candidate to threaten and insult the wife of another candidate? Never!

For once, I have to agree with Ted Cruz, who called Donald Trump a "sniveling coward" after his latest Heidi slam. "Donald, you are a sniveling coward and leave Heidi the hell alone. Our spouses and our children are off bounds," Ted Cruz blasted Trump. "It is not acceptable for a big, bad New York bully to attack my wife."

Ted, was totally right on except for characterizing Trump as a 'New York' bully, since New York has to be one of the least misogynistic parts of the country. Especially New York City.

Now, my fellow American women, you can't forget that dissing Heidi Cruz's looks is just the latest in Donald Trump's string of cruel insults against women. He's repeatedly disparaged and tried to intimidate Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly, tweeting that she was "sick", "overrated" and "unwatchable" on March 15th and March 18th.

He previously lashed out at her after the first GOP debate on Fox when she asked him about his long history of slamming women publicly. He called her question, "ridiculous" and "off base", before implying that she was menstruating -- "You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her whatever!"

By the way, she was confronting him about his statements that various women including Rosie O'Donnell were "fat" and "ugly", and Bette Midler, who he described as having an "ugly face and body."

Let's not forget that he also tried to bully his presidential GOP co-contender, Carly Fiorina, when he told Rolling Stone magazine: "Look at that face! Would anyone vote for that? Can you imagine that, the face of our next President?" Then again, Trump has a very narrow view of what constitutes female attractiveness -- as if any presidential candidate should be talking about women's looks at all. He even took stunning supermodel, Heidi Klum to task. "Heidi Klum. Sadly, she's no longer a 10," he told the New York Times!

Now, I ask you my fellow American women, can we possibly have a President who regularly insults and tries to bully women? A President who is obsessed with women's looks and has no compunction about constantly attacking strong women by dissing their physical attributes. He obviously sees all kinds of women as threats, and this is his ugly response. If Donald Trump is comfortable with denigrating American women, he no doubt will be ready to fly off the handle and do the exact same thing to strong female world leaders.

Do we want a President who disses the Queen? Angela Merkel, the Chancellor of Germany? President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf of Liberia? Malala? American women, I hope you agree with Senator Barbara Boxer, who tweeted today: "@RealDonaldTrump has once again insulted all women. He does not deserve even one woman's vote."
