Donald Trump Jr. took a shot at βloser teachers,β who he claimed are indoctrinating children into socialism from the moment theyβre born.
βYou know what I love? I love seeing some young conservatives, βcuz I know itβs not easy,β he said at a rally in El Paso ahead of a speech by his father, President Donald Trump, who was promoting his proposed border wall.
βKeep up that fight, bring it to your schools. You donβt have to be indoctrinated by these loser teachers that are trying to sell you on socialism from birth. You donβt have to do it.β

The dig didnβt sit well with educators and those who support them:
βLoser teachersβ is an interesting message for the GOP. https://t.co/7pK2g8B8X6

So Trump Jr. thinks teachers like me and many others are losers for teaching kids equality.

@DonaldJTrumpJr - I am one of those βloser teachersβ and I will do more good in the next five days in my classroom than you will do in the rest of your sorry life. You are the broken progeny of a failure of a father. Try breaking the cycle and being your own man. #beBetter https://t.co/kf1Jp2GfkY

Loser teachers. Nice.

I am a first year teacher. I have to buy my own supplies for my students to even have the basics to learn. I am too busy trying to get them ready for the next grade and worrying about where we are getting our next box of glue to indoctrinate them.
Hey @DonaldJTrumpJr and @realDonaldTrump just putting this out their for my other #loserteachers tomorrowβs lesson will be on how to vote and get rid of the perpetrator of the worst viable cumstain ever pic.twitter.com/QO8y3z9lmC

"Loser teachers".
— Mike Wickett (@mikewickett) February 12, 2019
Write that down. (You probably learned to write from a "loser teacher" so thank them). https://t.co/mswmDMJkRN
βLoser teachersβ should go over well with the one in five American Federation of Teachers members who voted for Trump, and the one in three National Education Association members who voted for him. https://t.co/JknFCT1DE3

My daughter is a teacher, my friends are teachers. I support our teachers; who are not into indoctrination, that's a political thing.

βloser teachersβ reveals more about Don Jr. than he realizes https://t.co/29r4dJUwPx

You mean the schools that are paid for by tax dollars that are pooled together for the greater good? Those schools? Next thing you're going to tell me is that they get there by using roads that are also paid for by the government using pooled taxpayer money.
— Bryan Bennett (@bryanbennett) February 12, 2019
Donald Trump Jr. called teachers βlosersβ today. Must mean weβre doing something right. https://t.co/uRLJHgWFrP

He called them "loser teachers."
— Jess Phoenix π (@jessphoenix2018) February 12, 2019
Raise your hand if you know an amazing teacher who smashes that insult to pieces. ποΈ#LifesavingTeachers #teachers #education https://t.co/QMn9k4utyn
Teachers do not indoctrinate kids. Itβs called learning. Academics, teamwork, social skills and - now - lock down drills. Not socialism, survival thru human compassion and kindness. And #guncontrol #momsdemand
— ElizabethSchatzDoyle (@elizabethdoyle) February 12, 2019
Keep on talking, Trump Jr.

Teachers are powerful and teachers vote. π π½ https://t.co/tZWx1FbRJh
My hat is off to all the "Loser" teachers who spend their lives working hard to teach our children to be critical thinkers, to weigh the evidence before them, to recognize that #factsmatter, and to call bullsh!t on the bullsh!tters.#mondaythoughts #TrumpElPaso
