Ed Schultz Slams Fox News' Dana Perino For Super Bowl Halftime Show Criticism

WATCH: Shultz Slams Fox News For Spreading 'False Outrage'

MSNBC's Ed Schultz ran through some Super Bowl highlights during his show Monday night and saved some particularly harsh words for Fox News.

"It wouldn't be a Super Bowl without some false outrage from the right-wing," Schultz said as he began discussing Madonna's Super Bowl halftime show and one of the guest performers, British singer M.I.A. "Well, Dana Perino of FOX News took issue which foreign involvement in the Super Bowl," Schultz said.

He then played a clip of Perino on her Fox News show, "The Five," criticizing Madonna for choosing M.I.A. to sing with her. "She looks amazing," Perino said of Madonna. "And she chooses M.I.A., not even an American, come out and to do this thing about world peace?" Madonna's show ended with a large banner that read "world peace."

"So according to Dana Perino, you can't deliver a message about world peace unless you're an American," Schultz said. "The Super Bowl set a new record for viewership but Fox News continues to set the record for the most ridiculous things ever said on television."
