Raise Your Hand If You Knew Elle King Was Rob Schneider's Daughter

How did we miss this?

As far as the Grammys go, last night's award show was pretty standard -- Taylor Swift won some awards, Lady Gaga was there and so was Adele. One thing that caught us off guard, however, was finding out that Elle King, nominated for Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song, is Rob Schneider's daughter.

That's right, the man who brought us "The Hot Chick" is (half) responsible for giving life to the woman behind the infectiously catchy tune, "Ex's & Oh's." (Her mother is model London King.)

King, whose real name is Tanner Elle Schneider, decided to take her mother's name at age 18, effectively distancing herself from her famous roots.

"I took on my mom’s last name because she raised me, and I wanted to be my own person," she told Billboard magazine in 2015.

But even though she's made her own name in the industry, the songstress also told the mag in a different interview that she learned a lot from her famous father.

"He would give anything for his fans. At the end of the day those are the people who keep us doing what we're doing. He always said, 'Take time, especially for kids.' So that's the biggest thing that I took from my father."
