That's sort of the whole point of an eon -- it takes awhile--but the grind of Eons is finally picking up momentum and with the upcoming debut of their new EP Serene Release, they are arguably one of the hottest things popping musically in Miami.

From playing free shows at "artsy" events, to earning a stage at the Ultra Music Festival, it's awesomely organic to see a band you've followed grow and thrive.

Eons, a synth-pop band, consists of two members: Johnny D, who makes it pop; and Matty G who brings the synth. Johnny D legitimately has a voice. He sounds like Dave Gahan from Depeche Mode and ain't nothing wrong with that.

Listen to their new song "Like a Dream" and tell me you can't make babies to this.

It's been an eon since Eons played live, maybe six months, and next week they are dropping the new album at The Annex after art walk. Their live shows are high energy and filled with a plethora of twinkling LED lights. It should be cool.

Or enjoy this video of "Molecule" as a teaser.
