I think it's time that I reveal something. Something that I probably should've made clear at the start of this trip so you could've kept a running tab of what I wanted to accomplish in my two weeks in Europe. Something I like to call "a bucket list." Take a look at where things stand nine days in:

  • Properly pronounce Polish names.
  • Sit right in the middle of a supporters' section.
  • Watch Spain play in person.
  • Go to a topless beach.
  • Try to eat Kielbasa like Kobayashi eats hot dogs.
  • Get pulled over by the police in a foreign country and try to unsuccessfully talk my way out of it.
  • Watch the sun come up over the Baltic Sea at 4 a.m.
  • Sing "I've Had The Time Of My Life" from the Dirty Dancing soundtrack with the locals at a karaoke bar in Ukraine.
And, finally, the last items on my list, which I can officially cross off as a package deal because it all went down in a thirty-minute span, are as such: Paint my face, see a blow-up doll get tossed around while wearing the opposing team's jersey, watch a rousing competition of beer can penalty kicks, and hang out with the notoriously fun Croatian fans. Yeah, this happened and I have the video to prove it. Take a look.
