Family Texts Wrong Number With Baby News, Gets Amazing Surprise

"Well I don't know y'all but me and the boys will be thru to take picture with the baby," the recipient replied.

A family member who was excited about the birth of a baby boy mistakenly texted the joyful news to a wrong number.

Dennis Williams let the sender know that he wasn't the intended recipient of the good news, but that he and his brother, Deorick, wanted to congratulate the new parents anyway.

The Williams brothers surprised the happy couple at a south Georgia hospital with a gift after receiving the text-message blast announcing the good news.

Photos posted on Facebook Saturday captured their heartwarming visit, as well as the text messages that started it all.

"We are at the hospital. Having a baby today! She has dilated to between 5-6," the first, early-morning text message began.

A text message sent to a wrong number announcing a newborn's birth led to an amazing surprise by a pair of total strangers.

"Congrats lol but I think someone got the wrong number," the first response by one of the brothers read.

Perhaps too excited to realize the mistake, the family member later texted a photo of someone holding the swaddled newborn and shared his weight.

"Well I don't know y'all, but me and the boys will be thru to take picture with the baby," came the next response.

"You are cracking me up!!!" someone in the group message thread responded. "Sorry you got caught up in the baby birthing!!"

"Nah that's okay what's the room number Bainbridge hospital right we have gifts," they continued.

The two brothers kept their word. A photo later posted to Facebook showed them visiting the new parents, Lindsey Lashley and her husband, Mark.

Missing from the photo was their new baby, Cason.

"They were so sweet and kind to do this!” the photo's caption read in part. “You 2 are great guys and thank you for giving to someone you didn't know! … If we all only had this kind of heart."
