We all love Florida. The beautiful beaches, the beautiful people, the great food and who can forget the most magical place on earth, Disney World. I mean what's there not to love about Florida? After all, it is the place we love to call the Sunshine State.

With beautiful weather and awesome tourism attraction also come more tourists. In 2014 it was estimated that a record high 97.3 million visitors visited Florida. Though the increase in visitors worked miracles for Florida's economy we all know that more visitors mean increased traffic and increased traffic unfortunately leads to the increase in motor accidents.

Earlier this week it was reported by AAA that motorcycles account for 19% of motorcycle fatalities. What is even more alarming is that 1 in 5 motorcyclists do not have insurance. 32% of motorcyclists believe they shouldn't wear helmets and because of this the number of fatalities has nearly tripled. Bottom line? Helmets save lives.

Jerad Ohr and Ronald Rosen of Rosen Ohr have seen first hand the long and short term consequences of motorcycle accidents. With the 75th anniversary of Daytona Bike Week in full effect these personal injury attorneys warn bikers that death is not always a consequence of motorcycle accidents. "We've seen it all the firm acknowledges on it's site: brain injuries or brain damage, head injuries, neck injuries, spinal cord injuries and the list goes on.

While the State of Florida greatly benefits financially from the motorcycle community they are more concerned about the safety of its' visitors, "please ride safely," Daytona's Police Chief Michael Chitwood adds as he ends his open welcome letter to bikers.
