What tops the very long list of in-flight gripes? Frequent fliers say a universal lack of legroom is the thing that really makes flying a pain these days.

Screaming children and unpredictable delays also rate as common complaints, a new survey of more than 2,000 travelers reveals.

Despite the pains of taking to the skies, TripAdvisor's survey says that people are planning more trips in 2013 than they did in 2012. Nine out of 10 respondents say they'll fly at least once this year.

There's at least one technological salve for all the headaches: A quarter of fliers say they'd pick one carrier over another if it offered Wi-Fi, and nearly 40% say their iPad or other tablet is a must-pack.
