FYF Fest Announces 2011 Lineup

PHOTOS: Our Top Picks for FYF Fest 2011

FYF Fest released today its 2011 lineup of musicians set to play in downtown LA this Labor Day weekend. The festival organizers have rounded up an impressive range of lively and talented acts, from the indie supergroup Broken Social Scene to SoCal punk rockers Descendents. Between Explosions in the Sky's dreamy musical landscapes, Yacht's poppy electronica, Simian Mobile Disco's rave-worthy beats, and Girls' light-hearted grunge, there will be something for everyone.

FYF Fest is in its eighth year, but this is its first time being held at 1st and Main downtown, rather than at the LA State HIstoric Park. 2011 is also the first time that FYF is partnering with Goldenvoice, the organizers behind Coachella. Perhaps that's why tickets are starting at $35, as opposed to $20 at this time last year. The event looks to be worth it though, even with the price increase.
