Galloping Grace Youth Ranch, Nonprofit For Kids, Reeling From Charity Pumpkin Patch Theft

Thieves Steal Huge Amount From Charity Pumpkin Patch

A nonprofit ranch that serves underprivileged children isn't sure it can recoup from a recent equipment theft, KRQE reports.

Galloping Grace Youth Ranch relies on its pumpkin sales to fund a program that invites 1,000 disadvantaged children to ride its horses. Because thieves stole two generators, worth $2,000, the ranch may not be able to reach its profit goal.

"Unfortunately, it's just people who don't care about other people's hard work," founder Max Wade told the news network.

The theft amounted to a year's worth of care for one horse.
