General Lee Groundhog 2010 Prediction: Georgia Groundhog Sees No Shadow

The General Lee Groundhog did not see his shadow today in Georgia, meaning a short spring should be expected for 2010.

The Macon Telegraph posted about General Lee's Groundhog Day:

The prediction was delayed when Gen. Lee got away from his handlers and hid, then climbed a fence behind his mock-mansion home.

Ultimately, however, he did not see his shadow.

The General Lee Groundhog joins Jimmy The Groundhog, Buckeye Chuck and Staten Island Chuck, who also did not see their shadows.

Groundhog Day's most infamous groundhog, however, did. Punxsutawney Phil predicted a long winter today, despite his counterparts in Ohio, New York, Wisconsin, and Georgia.
