George H.W. Bush Thanks Well-Wishers After Neck Injury

He seemed in good spirits.

Former President George H.W. Bush on Thursday thanked all those who had wished him well after he fell and broke a bone in his neck earlier this month.

The 41st president, who went skydiving last year to mark his 90th birthday, joked about his injury on Twitter.

A spokesman said after the incident that Bush was expected to make a full recovery. Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush (R), who is running for president, said earlier this month that his family would know that his dad was doing better when he started telling "semi-dirty" jokes to the nurse.
