"Star Trek" icon George Takei is adding "web series star" to his ever-growing list of accomplishments.

Takei and his husband, Brad, will share "semi-scripted" highlights from their behind-the-scenes lives as part of the new "heightened reality" series, "It Takeis Two."

Press materials have deemed the show "one part optimism and one part pragmatism," calling the pair a "dynamic duo." The first episode (titled "Seriously?!") sees Brad launching a mission to get a "mean meme" removed from George's Facebook page in an adventure that takes him all the way to the Google headquarters in New York.

The series will debut April 7 on Takei's official YouTube channel.

It's shaping up to be a busy year for the 77-year-old star and social media maven. In the fall, he'll make his Broadway musical debut in "Allegiance," opposite Tony Award winner Lea Salonga.
