Comedian Greg Giraldo died Wednesday at the age of 44, TMZ reported.
"Greg passed away today at the hospital in New Brunswick as a result of an accidental
overdose. His family was by his side," a source told TMZ.
The comedian had been hospitalized on Saturday following an overdose on prescription pills at a New Jersey hotel.
He was scheduled to perform a gig this Friday night at a comedy club in Levittown, NY, and now the event will be a memorial service, TMZ reports.
