Gretchen Rossi Proposes On 'RHOC,' Shows Off Her Rings On 'WWHL' (VIDEO)

Big Proposal On 'Real Housewives Of Orange County'

Gretchen Rossi took control of her love life on the latest episode of "The Real Housewives of Orange County." She managed to secure infamous "housewife hunter" Slade Smiley for good by proposing to him. That's right, she proposed to him! To make the moment even more memorable, the couple was on top of a skyscraper when it all went down.

“What matters to me more than anything is you, and that I love you," she told him. "You are the person I want to be with for the rest of my life, and I was allowing my past to get in the way of my future ... And you are my future.” She opened the ring box and presented it to him. "I hope you’ll say yes, and I hope you’ll marry me, and I hope we’ll have a wonderful, fabulous, maybe not perfect, but happy life together.”

Julie Ryan Evan of The Stir finds the couple to be annoying in general, but was forced to admit that "Gretchen's elaborate proposal to Slade was actually quite sweet.”

Later that night, Gretchen stopped by "Watch What Happens: Live" to show off her engagement ring ... well actually, she showed off two engagement rings.

“This is my engagement ring, and this was my ring from Jeff," she said. "I feel like like Jeff brought Slade to me, I wanted to honor him tonight.” Jeff was Gretchen's fiance when she first joined "RHOC." He passed away in 2008.

"I love it that you’re wearing both, because you get a lot of crap whenever you wear the one," Andy Cohen told her.

“I do, but you know what? Screw them. I love my ring, I’m gonna wear it until I die," said Gretchen.

Catch Gretchen Rossi on "The Real Housewives of Orange County," Mondays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo. "Watch What Happens: Live" airs every Sunday through Thursday at 11 p.m. ET on Bravo.
