Ha'aretz Sexy Ad Shows Couple Having Sex To Promote Israeli Newspaper Website (NSFW VIDEO)

NSFW: Is This Any Way To Advertise A Daily Newspaper?

Talk about hard news!

Ha'aretz, Israel's oldest daily newspaper, has rocked the Holy Land with an online commercial (watch above) that features a couple getting biblical to illustrate that the paper's website is better than sex.

The pair goes through several positions while the woman moans and the guy talks to the camera. He complains that he's not really learning anything and then mocks her repetition of "yes!" He says, "There's a slight sense of 'Been there, done that.'" Then the kicker reads, "Life is not as interesting as Ha'aretz's new website."

The 53 seconds of essentially soft porn has some critics feeling more bothered than hot. Pnina Tamano-Shata, deputy speaker of the Israeli parliament, fired off a letter to Ha’aretz publisher Amos Schocken demanding that the spot be pulled and that Schocken apologize to female readers for "blatant sexism," according to The Hollywood Reporter. Some Ha'aretz staffers also signed a petition objecting to the "pornographic content," complaining also that the female's limited dialogue is sexist, THR noted.

The commercial had attracted more than 181,000 views on YouTube as of Tuesday evening. It's in Hebrew but something tells us that many non-speakers will still get the thrust.
