'Hamilton' Stars Rewrite Your Favorite Song To Get You To Vote

"You want a revolution? I want a revelation. So how you gonna change the nation?"

The cast of “Hamilton” has already teamed up with President Barack Obama and former President George W. Bush to get you to vote. Now, stars from the hit Broadway show are going further, putting their message to song.

In PSA videos that are part of their appropriately titled mission, “Ham4Vote,” cast members, including Lin-Manuel Miranda, Renée Elise Goldsberry and Anthony Ramos, perform one of the show’s most popular songs set to new lyrics.

Using music from “The Schuyler Sisters,” Miranda starts off by rapping:

“There’s nothing Americans love more, than posting online who you should vote for. You tweet, and you snap, and you gawk, but if you don’t show up and vote, it’s all just talk.”

In addition to the videos, cast members have been tweeting messages encouraging followers to vote, and even helped voters register at the Richard Rodgers Theater earlier this week.

As Miranda notes: “The room where it happens is the voting booth.”
