In a few short days, on June 21, the first day of summer 2015 will be here. To get ready for the season, some shopping might be in order. But before you set out and pay full price for a new swimsuit, grill or vacation, you should look for ways to save money this summer.
According to Jon Lal, founder and CEO of BeFrugal.com, June is a month to look for sharp discounts on fitness gear and apparel. It's also the month where restaurants and eateries begin seasonal deals and offers to get families through the door.
Lal notes that shoppers should keep their eyes open all summer long for various promotions, some of which are catered to particular months. "Look for discounts on furniture in July," he said, "as new models are unveiled later in the summer and stores need to clear inventory."
